Here is a great editorial from the New York Times addressing the Occupy Wall Street protests ›

At this point, protest is the message: income inequality is grinding down that middle class, increasing the ranks of the poor, and threatening to create a permanent underclass of able, willing but jobless people. On one level, the protesters, most of them young, are giving voice to a generation of lost opportunity.”

I love that we’re called the “generation of lost opportunity,” because that’s a perfect description. So many people, educated and ready to work, are unable to find jobs and are drowning in student debt. School should be free. If you want to learn, you should be allowed to learn. There should be no student debt. Sadly, they expect us to pay to be prepared for a job market that doesn’t exist. Well how can we pay off the loans without a job? The system is corrupt, and we need serious policy restructuring. I hope the Occupy protests can inspire that, and maybe give some hope to the Generation of Lost Opportunity.

J.P. Morgan Chase “donates” $4.6 Million to NYPD ›

JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple. The money will pay for 1,000 new patrol car laptops, as well as security monitoring software in the NYPD’s main data center.

New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly sent CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon a note expressing “profound gratitude” for the company’s donation.

“These officers put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe,” Dimon said. “We’re incredibly proud to help them build this program and let them know how much we value their hard work.”

So, right before Occupy Wall Street starts, a major  bank donates a ton of money to the NYPD. Remind me again, who are the police protecting?

how can people be “okay” with this?

It’s an incident like this, with people so clearly trying to justify the unjustifiable, that makes me want to dehumanize the reporters at Fox News.  How DARE they!

Even if Fox had ignored the story, it would not have been nearly as vile as this particular piece of filth.

I often think Fox News is a parody network.  I’m waiting for them to come out playing the theme from Mad TV.  No, I don’t think anything they say is funny.  I just cannot grasps that they seriously believe the shit they put out.  Fox News is one of the many reasons I’m glad I don’t watch TV anymore.

Fox “News” Discrediting female protestors being Pepper Sprayed

Basically saying they were over-reacting to the pepper spray, so on and so forth.

I HATE fox news, I think they have done more to divide this country than any other influence.

FUCK YOU fox news.
